Home Waterproofing
By taking a few extra steps now, homeowners can toss out the notion that basements are cursed to be dank, cold and musty storage rooms. A wet basement is unlivable and potentially unhealthy. That’s why many builders seek improved construction practices that minimize the negative effects of wet basements and maximize the available living space in today’s new homes.

Kinzler Construction Services installs a variety of foundation waterproofing and insulation products, helping keep water out of your basement and comfort in. We work with builders and contractors throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas, providing waterproofing solutions for new homes. (NOTE: This service is currently available only at Kinzler’s Minnesota location.)
Kinzler’s Waterproofing Solutions
Waterproofing products can be used on a stand-alone basis; however, most water proofing manufacturers recommend that their materials be used as part of a waterproofing system. The typical waterproofing system consists of three components: the waterproofing membrane, insulation and an exterior or interior drainage system.
- Foundation & Basement Waterproofing Membrane
Kinzler Construction Services installs a seamless, flexible, sprayed-on membrane that helps fill any foundation cracks and seals out water under intermittent or continuous pressure. - Exterior Insulation
We will insulate the exterior basement walls during home construction which protects the waterproofing membrane, minimizes heat loss through the basement wall, reduces home energy use and lowers utility bills. - Drainage Systems
Waterproofing experts at Kinzler can install a drainage system which collects and funnels ground water away from the foundation wall to daylight or to a sump basket.
