Project Profile: Paper Source

Paper Source is a premier paperie and gift retailer, opening a new location at a former work-out facility in St. Paul, Minnesota. When their contractor, Tom Hammer Construction, removed the flooring during renovations, they discovered that the floor was uneven, full of holes, and in some areas, 1 1/2″- 2″ below the original floor.

Kinzler Construction Services solved their problem by installing USG Durock™ Brand Quik-Top™ Self-Leveling Underlayment. This flooring sets and dries extremely quickly, minimizing downtime – ideal for commercial and institutional repair and renovation projects. This solution kept the contractor on schedule and everyone was very pleased with how the flooring turned out!

Project Profile: Vertical Endeavors Climbing Facility

Rock climbing is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and Vertical Endeavors is one of the recognized leaders in the industry, operating some of the largest indoor climbing facilities in the nation. When they started work renovating a warehouse in Bloomington, MN to become a new climbing facility, they called on Kinzler Construction Services to take insulation installation to new heights — literally. The roof of the warehouse where the tallest climbing walls will be are 63 feet in the air! Kinzler crews mobilized quickly.

A team from Kinzler’s Minneapolis branch used an articulating lift to spray closed cell foam insulation on the roof and walls. Closed cell spray foam was a great choice because it acts as a water vapor and air barrier plus has an R-value of 6 per inch. And since the foam will be left exposed, we painted the foam with an intumescent paint.

Customer Testimonial. Homeowner

“Working with Kinzler was great! We needed a radon mitigation system installed as part of the sale of our house. They returned my call promptly on a Friday night, got us a written estimate within 24 hours, and was able to schedule the install of the radon mitigation system within two weeks. Solid communication and promptness are super important to me, especially in this situation because we were moving out of the country. Everyone we talked to at Kinzler Minneapolis was helpful. I would definitely recommend them.”

Kinzler Construction Cares

United Way. Annual Day of Caring…

This past Friday several employees participated in a work event specifically focused on painting, cleaning, and organizing storage areas at UWSC partner agencies and nonprofit sites.  We were delighted to be a part of a record turnout and help complete projects that may have been on their list for several years.  A special thanks to those who participated in this event!

Insulation in America

Insulation.  An American industry…

This is an interesting graphic that we wanted to share regarding the domestic impact of the insulation industry, something we can be proud to be a part of.

Congratulations, Tanner Kinzler!
